Abstract:
By doing the research about the relationship between gender roles and the level of social adaptation of Private College Students in Fujian Province,we found that college students showed a significant difference in social adaptability led by different gender roles. In the four types of gender roles, masculine individuals and androgynous individuals’ level of social adaptation are higher than others. Masculine individuals’ social adaptability is the best, the second one is androgynous individuals, the third one is undifferentiated individuals, and feminine individuals’ social adaptability is the worst. However, previous studies support that the ideal type of gender roles is androgynous, which is different from our results. What’s more, the students from three Private Colleges in Fujian Province were generally showed a poorly social adaptation situation.
