摘要:
根据集美大学学生英语四级达到425分可以免修英语的情况，对学生进行匿名问卷调查，调查内容主要是免修后学生的英语学习情况，并根据调查结果进行统计和分析，提出应该善用免修的一年时间，进行自主学习。实行专业与英语结合的方式，培养既懂专业又熟悉英语的复合型人才，并提出相应的对策。
Abstract:
The students in Jimei University are able to be exempt from taking English classes if they score 425 in CET4. According to the situation, an anonymous survey was conducted about how the students’ English study were after being exempt from taking English classes ,and statistics and analysis were made in related to the research result. This paper suggests that students should make good use of the time to have a selfdirected learning which combines their major and English. The countermeasures are put forward so as to cultivate the interdisciplinary talents who know both their major and English.
