摘要:
“政犹蒲卢”之喻同时见于《中庸》与《孔子家语》。以郑玄为代表的一派人释“蒲卢”为“蜾蠃”,然“螟蛉有子,蜾蠃负之”在《小雅·小宛》和《中庸》郑玄注中意旨并不相同。《孔子家语》相关文本比《中庸》多出“天道敏生”四字,可以支援俞樾“郑解未得经旨”之说。有趣的是,俞樾对《孔子家语》、《中庸》两个文本中“政犹蒲卢”的解读并不相同,这就在郑玄、王肃的诠释思路之外另辟两条道路。释“蒲卢”为“蜾蠃”,毛奇龄与郑玄、王肃、俞樾同而异于释“蒲卢”为“蒲苇”之朱熹,但是更侧重于从“只要人存,政即易举”这个角度理解“人存政举”,这是毛奇龄与朱熹的共同点。俞樾的两种解读皆从政待人而举的角度理解“人存政举”。从“人存政举”到“为政在人”能否一气贯下应成为评判各家诠释的一个基本标尺。
Abstract:
The metaphor of “Zheng You Pulu” appears in The Doctrine of the Mean and The Confucian Family Analects. Zheng Xuan interpreted “pulu” as “guoying”, but the meanings of “mingling you zi, guoying fu zhi” are not the same in “Xiaowan” and Zheng Xuan’ annotation of The Doctrine of the Mean. “Tian dao min sheng”, which appears in the text of The Confucian Family Analects, can back up Yu Yue’ opinion—Zheng Xuan’ annotation is not proper. It is interesting that Yu Yue’ annotation of “Zheng You Pulu” in The Confucian Family Analects and The Doctrine of the Mean are not the same, so there are two ideas except Zheng Xuan and Wang Su’s annotation. Like Zheng Xuan, Wang Su and Yu Yue, Mao Qiling interpreted “pulu” as “guoying”, but differed from Zhu Xi’ interpretation of “pulu” as “puwei”. Identical to Zhu Xi, Mao Qiling interpreted “ren cun zheng ju” as “as long as a man lives his policy carries out easily”. Yu Yue interpreted “ren cun zheng ju” as “Policy needs the right people to carry out”. The text from “ren cun zheng ju” to “wei zheng zai ren” should be consistent. We can use this rule to check various interpretations.
