徐特立撰写的《国文教授之研究》发表于1914年,是迄今为止能搜寻到的徐特立最早的教育论著。《国文教授之研究》篇幅虽短,但因是文言著述,信息量极大,文中对小学国文教育的目标、教材的编写标准以及教授方法等都有详细的阐述,尤其关于教授方法,每项都列出多种方法,每种方法又一一列出细目。该文提出的诸多教学理论,对今天的语文教学实践和语文教育改革都有重要的参考价值。
Abstract:
A Study of Teaching Chinese by XU Te-li was published in 1914, which is by far his earliest education works. Though A Study of Teaching Chinese is short, it contains much information, elaborating in detail on Chinese teaching objectives in primary schools, standards for compiling books, teaching approaches and so on, especially on teaching approaches. The many teaching theories proposed in his paper are of great value to Chinese teaching practice and Chinese education reforms.
