对厦门市不同区域的家长共560人进行调查发现,家长对青少年宫满意度不高,其主要原因有:家长的人才观和家长对青少年宫功能定位间的矛盾,家长对关系建构在促进人的全面发展中重要性的理解欠缺,现阶段没有可以支持新教育理念实现的课程模式供家长参考等。在构建终身教育社会背景下,21世纪日本青少年宫的新走向可供我国青少年宫改革与发展参考。

240 parents from different districts of Xiamen responded to a survey investigating their satisfactions toward the programs offered by the Youth Palace to children and youth. The results show that parents, in general, are not satisfied with the quality of the programs attended by their children. Parents’ dissatisfaction is attributed to the contradiction of parents between the concepts of talents training and the approaches of cultivating talents. Also, parents’ lack of understanding of the importance of holistic child development and no reference regarding new educational concepts for parents to use as a model contribute to their dissatisfactions to Youth Palace. This paper suggests that the new trends and developments of Youth Palace in Japan could be used as lessons learned for China for the continuous developments of lifelong education in the 21st Century.
