Abstract:: Excellent traditional southern Fujian culture contains rich contents and spiritual meanings, which is a significant cultural resource for ideological and political courses, and the geographic and cultural affinity of such traditional culture can increase college students’ cultural recognition in realizing the function of ideological and political courses. It is necessary for local universities to absorb excellent traditional southern Fujian culture into the teaching of ideological and political practice courses to enhance the liveliness and effectiveness of college ideological and political courses. Southern Fujian Culture can innovative forms of education, the construction of education system, optimizing the educational environment and other measures to create a ideological and political course in practice, which can not only inherit the excellent traditional culture of South Fujian, and enhance the effectiveness of Ideological and political courses.
