摘要:
词典作为一种独特的文化产品,拥有深远的社会价值与功能。英语词典功能的复杂趋势与词典用户的求简心理形成了强烈的反差,词典要发挥其应有作用,高校开设英语词典使用课程势在必行。激励学生利用词典主动建构知识,挖掘并提升自主性学习的潜力及能力。学习词典的正确使用方法,有助于培养学生的自主学习能力和终身学习的意识,实现从“他育”到“自育”。词典使用课程的内容包括词典课程目标与要求、词典发展概述、词典使用技能、词典设计特征、词典辅助教学的路径等。
Abstract:
The dictionary,as a distinct cultural artifact,possesses profound societal value and functionality.A notable contrast arises between the increasing complexity of English dictionary features and the users’ desire for simplicity.To fully leverage the dictionary’s potential,the implementation of English dictionary usage courses in higher education institutions becomes imperative.Students’ capacity for autonomous learning is stimulated and enhanced by being encouraged to actively construct knowledge using dictionaries.Mastering the proper usage of dictionaries fosters students’ self-directed learning abilities and a lifelong learning mindset,thus facilitating a transition from “other-directed education” to “self-directed learning”.The curricula of such courses encompass goals and requirements,an overview of dictionary evolution,skills in dictionary utilization,design characteristics,and pathways for dictionary-aided instruction.
