校长道德领导是教育家精神和校长行动的有效结合。张桂梅领导的华坪女子高中学校是校长道德领导有效性的典型个案。基于道德领导的视角,对收集到的关于张桂梅校长和华坪女高的权威媒体报道的文本资料进行三级编码和模型建构,探究“校长道德领导如何助力农村女生阻断贫困代际传递”的这一问题。研究结果显示,张桂梅校长基于价值、情感、伦理和实践的道德领导,对应学生“知情意行”4个方面形成了4条路径,即“价值领导改变认知能力,情感领导培育积极情感,伦理领导塑造坚强意志,实践领导增强行动能效”。这些路径帮助华坪女高学子积累文化资本,向上流动,阻断贫困代际传递。这一个案研究补充了“资源贫乏环境下道德领导的可操作性”,为道德领导理论的实践操作层面提供了新的视角,同时启示我们在推进中国教育现代化过程中,校长应弘扬教育家精神,不断提升其自身的价值感召力、情感感染力、道德引领力和实践驱动力,推动教育事业的高质量发展。
Abstract:
Principal ethical leadership is an effective combination of educator’s spirit and principal’s action. The Huaping Girls’ High School under the leadership of Zhang Guimei is a typical example of the effectiveness of ethical leadership by principals.Based on the perspective of ethical leadership, the textual information collected from authoritative media reports about Principal Zhang Guimei and Huaping Girls’ High School was coded and modeled at three levels to explore the question, “How can the ethical leadership of principals help rural female students stop the intergenerational transmission of poverty ?”The results of the study show that Principal Zhang Guimei’s moral leadership-based on values, emotions, ethics and practices, has formed four paths of action in response to the four aspects of students’ “knowledge, emotion, will and action”, including “value leadership changes cognition, emotional leadership cultivates positive emotions, ethical leadership shapes strong will, and practical leadership improves action strategies”. The practical leadership enhances the action strategy. These paths help the students of Huaping Girls’High School accumulate cultural capital, move upward, and stop the intergenerational transmission of poverty.This case study adds to the “operability of moral leadership in resource-poor environments” and provides new perspectives on the practical operation of moral leadership theory, and reveals that in the process of promoting the modernization of education in China, school principals should carry forward the spirit of educators and continuously improve their own value appeal, emotion contagion, ethical leadership and practical driving force, so as to promote the cause of education. At the same time, it reveals that in the process of promoting the modernization of education in China, principals should carry forward the spirit of educators, continuously improve their own value appeal, emotion contagion, moral leadership and practice driving force, and promote the high-quality development of education.
