摘要:
近年来，英语影片的字幕翻译质量饱受诟病。在接受美学的视角下，归纳分析了突出的两大问题：在专有名词和名句的翻译上忽视观众的定向期待；忽视观众创新期待的过度归化。在此基础上，提出并阐述了解决问题的对策：改变字幕翻译机制和采用正确的翻译策略。
Abstract:
In recent years, the subtitling of English films has been strongly criticized for its unsatisfying quality. From the perspective of reception aesthetics, this paper summarizes and analyzes the two major problems of subtitling: first, neglecting audiences’ directed horizon of expectations in the translation of proper names and classic lines; second, over -domestication due to neglecting audiences’ creative horizon of expectations. Then the paper proceeds to bring forward and illustrate the solutions to the problems, namely, to change the mechanism of subtitling and to adopt correct translation strategies.
