摘要:: 通过罗马字《官话新约全书》拼写法与国语罗马字比较，揭示稀有文献罗马字《官话新约全书》拼写法的特点。其价值不仅在于拼写法的特色，更在于它完整地记录、保存了清末官话音系。国语罗马字是当时最好最精密的拼音方案，它之所以未能被应用，不是因为它的学术水平不够高,而是现代中国社会还不具备接纳拼音文字的基本条件。回顾与反思国语罗马字在汉语拼音化进程中的价值与作用，对于正确认识汉字的利弊优劣，客观理性地认识和研究晚清以来的文字改革和拼音化运动，都是有益的。

Abstract:: This paper reveals the characteristic feature of New Testament Romanised Mandarin by comparing the spellings between New Testament Romanised Mandarin and National Language Romanization. The value of New Testament Romanised Mandarin lies not only in its spelling feature, but in a complete record of the phonetic system of mandarin at the end of the Qing Dynasty. National Language Romanization was the best and most accurate phonetic scheme at that time. However, it did not replace Chinese characters yet, because there were no basic conditions in accepting it in modern China, not because its academic level was not high enough. Reviewing and introspecting the value and effect of National Language Romanization in the process of Chinese phonetic alphabet is beneficial for an accurate, objective and reasonable cognition of the Chinese character, the reform of a writing system, and the movement of Chinese phonetic alphabet.
