摘要:
台湾女作家聂华苓的文学作品深具历史感，《桑青与桃红》和《千山外，水长流》是聂华苓移居美国后创作的长篇小说，它们真切地反映了作家对美国的注视及情感态度。结合形象学理论，分析聂华苓小说中的异国地理环境、异国肖像和异国人形象，探究美国形象从强横冷漠到包容温情转变的原因。小说中所构建的美国形象，其实是作家对国族身份认同的自我言说。注视者与他者的关系从憎恶走向亲善，体现出聂华苓对自己中国身份的认同和自信。
Abstract:
The works of Nie Hualing, a female writer in Taiwan, are deeply historical. Her novels Sangqing Yu Taohong and Qian Shan Wai, Shui Chang Liu, written after her immigration to America, truly reflect her concern about and emotional attitude towards America. Combined with the theory of image, the paper analyzes the exotic geographical environment, the exotic portraits and the foreigners＇image in Nie＇s novels, and explores the reasons for the change of the America image from apathy, arrogance to warmth and hope, revealing the writer’s identity and self-confidence for China.
