摘要:: 《怕飞》是艾瑞卡·琼的第一部小说，作品反映了一个经历一次失败婚姻及正在经历第二次痛苦婚姻的女人苦苦挣扎的心理历程。女主角伊莎多拉追求性高潮,排斥传统女性家庭妇女和生儿育女的角色，无法与爱人维持稳定的亲密关系；她总在寻找依靠，无法独立，是因为原生家庭父母没有给予她足够的安全感引起的。从心理层面出发，分析女主角成长的动因和过程，指出伊莎多拉追逐性解放、反抗女性传统地位的深层原因是渴望获得安全感。然而，她却一直忽略这种内心不安全感的根源——个人成长不完全导致内心力量缺失。通过镜子审视自己后，她学会通过“自恋”接纳自己的恐惧和真实的自己，逐渐获得内心力量，真正开始“飞向”心灵的安定。

Abstract:: Fear of Flying, published in 1973, is Erica Yong’s first novel. The novel reflects the mental struggling of a divorced woman, Isadora Wing, who has been suffering a lot in her second marriage. She pursues orgasms and despises the traditional female role of being housewives and conceiving children and fails to maintain stable relationship with her husband. She’s been looking for reliance all the time instead of being independent because her family of origin doesn’t give her enough sense of security. The paper tries to study the cause and the process of the heroine’s growth from the psychological perspective, and points out the real reason behind her seeking sexual liberation and fighting against traditional female role is that she desperately counts on someone who can be relied on and gives her sense of security. However, she doesn’t realize that the missing of her inner power caused by the unfinished individual mental growth is the real source of her insecure feeling. It is through viewing the reflection in the mirror that she begins to adopt Narcissism and accepts her fear and the real self and gradually gains her inner power, which leads her to fly to the settlement of her spirit.
