摘要:
陈嘉庚先生坚定倡导女童应当接受教育的观念,切实维护女童应有的受教育权利,为女童教育作出了卓越贡献。追溯其思想渊源,陈嘉庚先生践行“有教无类”和“男女平等”的教育理念,首开闽南女禁,关注女童教育机会。深入探究陈嘉庚先生女童教育思想内涵发现,陈嘉庚倡导葆真养正教育,尊重幼童的成长规律;贯彻时事政治教育,培育女童的家国情怀;开展勤学节约教育,塑造女童的良好品格;强化学校体育锻炼,促进女童的身心健康;践行劳动实践教育,锤炼女童的自治能力;举办各类兴趣活动,提升女童的艺术情趣。在实践成就方面,陈嘉庚创办各类女校及机构,冲击封建礼教束缚;培育优秀师资力量,聚焦女子师范发展;优化课程与教学方法,致力于全方位教育;提供长期的生活津贴,促使女童得以入学。
Abstract:
Tan Kah-Kee strongly advocated gender equality and firmly promoted the idea that girls should receive education.Tracing back to its ideological origins,Tan Kah-Kee practiced the educational concepts of “education for all” and “equality between men and women” and was the first to open up women’s education in southern Fujian.A deep exploration of Tan Kah-Kee’s educational philosophy regarding girls reveals several key principles:he emphasized preserving the natural innocence of young children,fostering good habits in them,and respecting the developmental patterns of girls;he stressed political education to cultivate a sense of patriotism in girls;he implemented frugality education to shape their character;he reinforced physical education to promote both physical and mental health;he practiced labor education to strengthen girls’ self-reliance and he organized various interest activities to enhance their artistic interest.In terms of practice,Tan Kah-Kee established various girls’ schools and institutions,challenging the constraints of feudal ethics;he developed outstanding teaching staff with a focus on women’s normal school education;he optimized curricula and teaching methods to commit to all-around education;and he provided long-term living allowances to enable girls to attend school.
