摘要:
为了给传统的语篇意识形态研究提供新的理论和方法上的支持,从D.Sperber和D. Wilson提出的关联理论的角度探讨外宣材料英译与意识形态传播。隶属于语用学范畴的关联理论将交际定义为一个明示推理过程,以此为基础,分析外宣材料译者在翻译时如何采用翻译技巧改变汉语的内容和形式并借机传播意识形态以及英语读者如何感知意识形态,分析的结果表明外宣材料英译和英语读者阅读也可以看成是一个明示推理过程,这说明从语用角度研究语篇意识形态是可行的。
Abstract:
In order to give new support in theory and method to traditional discourse ideology research, C-E translation of publicity materials and ideology transmission is discussed based on relevance theory put forward by D. Sperber and D. Wilson. Relevance theory considers communication as an ostensive-inferential process. Based on this, the discussion focuses on how translation techniques are adopted by publicity material translators to change content and form of Chinese text in order to transmit ideology and how readers who speak English recover ideology. The result shows that C-E translation of publicity materials and readers’ reading can also be considered as an ostensive-inferential process, which proves that it is feasible to analyze discourse ideology from pragmatics.
