摘要:
黑格尔认为现代性的最大问题是如何统一特殊性与普遍性，即私利与公共善的关系。具体来讲，现代社会的发展导致了特殊性和功利性大行其道、普遍性被压制和公共精神的失落。对此浪漫派对现代性给予严厉批判，黑格尔站在现代性的角度对其进行反驳,但他并不认同现代社会功利主义价值取向，同时他也不希望将古代社会作为现代社会的绝对楷模。黑格尔的理想是在现代社会条件下实现私利和公共善的统一，即实现人的具体自由。黑格尔的这一观念对马克思有较深的影响，同时对抵御历史虚无主义亦有积极意义。
Abstract:
In Hegel’s view, the biggest issue of modernity is how to realize the union of particularity and universality, namely the union of the private interests and public good. Specifically, boundless extravagance of particularity and loss of universality makes Romanticism criticize modernity strongly. On behalf of reason and modernity, Hegel responded dramatically to Romanticism. Additionally, he disagreed on boundless extravagance of particularity and ancient ethical substance. Hegel’s aim was to realize the union of particularity and universality, in other words, human’s real freedom in modern civil society. Hegel’s theory affected Marx deeply and played an important role in opposing nihilism.
