摘要:
政治文本的翻译在当下中国对外传播语境下具有重要的意义。十九大报告属于典型的政治文本，其中的中国特色政治词语较为集中。通过对报告中部分特色政治词语的中、英文进行对照研究，发现其英文翻译特点主要体现在以下几个方面：关注目标语的表达习惯，使用一般英语受众熟悉的词语；注重词语的内涵意义，做到精确传达；倾向显化再现源语中具体而形象的表达方式。报告英译既顺应了目标语受众的期待视野，又对受众的期待视野进行拓展更新，体现了鲜明的受众意识和“求真”“以我为主”的基本原则。中国当下对外传播背景正发生着巨大变化，这也是当前对外传播背景下政治文本的翻译方向。
Abstract:
In the new era of international communication,the translation of political texts is particularly important.The Report of 19th National Congress of the CPC，as a typical political text,features frequent use of Chinesecharacteristic political expressions.This paper conducts a study of some of such expressions in the Chinese report and their equivalents in the English version,which leads to the finding of the translation principles,namely,the priority given to idiomaticness in translating,the concern with the connotation equivalence and the tendency of manifesting the concreteness and vividness in the target text.In all,the English translation not only complies with the horizon of expectations of the perspective target audience,but also extends and upgrades it,showing a strong audience awareness as well as the basic principle of faithfulness.This is expected to be the direction of translating political texts as the context of international communication is undergoing profound changes.
