摘要:
教育是经济发展的重要来源，高等教育因兼具人才培养和知识生产的作用，在我国实施教育强国战略的背景下会对微观层面企业高质量发展产生影响。基于上市公司2010—2022年的样本数据，从企业人均创利和ESG表现两个维度衡量高质量发展，通过实证研究发现：高等教育在总体上能促进企业高质量发展，并且受教育层次高的人员越多，促进作用越大；高等教育促进企业高质量发展的传导机制为改善经营效率和推动数字化转型；高等教育对企业高质量发展的促进作用存在内部劳动要素密集度和创新程度异质性，以及外部所在城市劳动力程度和是否属于高科技行业异质性。由于高等教育也是企业微观层面高质量发展的重要来源，我国应进一步细化高等教育功能，为经济发展提供微观支撑。
Abstract:
Education is an important source of economic development,and higher education plays a greater role in both talent cultivation and knowledge production.This article studies the impact of higher education on the high-quality development of micro-level enterprises in the context of China’s implementation of the strategy of building a strong education country.This article uses sample data from listed companies from 2010 to 2022 to measure high-quality development from two dimensions:per capita profit creation and ESG performance.Through empirical research,the following conclusions are drawn:first,higher education can promote high-quality development of enterprises as a whole,and the higher the educational level,the greater the promoting effect;second,the transmission mechanism of higher education promoting high-quality development of enterprises is to improve operational efficiency and promote digital transformation;third,the promotion effect of higher education on the high-quality development of enterprises has internal heterogeneity in labor factor intensity and innovation level,as well as external heterogeneity in the labor force level of the city where it is located and the year when new development concepts are proposed.The research in this article implies that higher education should be also an important source of high-quality development at the micro level of enterprises.China should further refine the functions of higher education and provide micro support for economic development.
