摘要:: 陈嘉庚是爱国华侨领袖，他与中国共产党同向同心同行，致力于民族救亡与复兴，以国家利益、人民利益为依归。陈嘉庚毕生的事业实践概括为兴实业、办教育、勤劳国事，其实践蕴含着以爱国主义为核心的内涵丰富的红色基因。嘉庚红色基因是深入开展党史学习教育的生动题材，高校发掘陈嘉庚事业中蕴含的红色基因，贯彻党的教育方针，落实立德树人根本任务，为党育人、为国育才。

Abstract:: Tan Kah Kee,the leader of patriotic overseas Chinese,had been striving for national salvation and rejuvenation and safeguarding the interests of the state and the people all his life,which resonated with the aspiration and mission of the Communist Party of China.Mr.Tan Kah Kee devoted himself to promoting industry,developing education,and participating in the state affairs during his lifetime,which contained a red gene of profound connotation with patriotism as the core.The red gene manifested in Tan Kah Kee’s career can be regarded as a vivid subject for Party history learning and education.Hence,it is high time that colleges and universities excavate the red gene contained in Tan Kah Kee’s career,which is of great significance for implementing the Party’s educational policy and carrying out the fundamental task of cultivating talents of virtue that could be the backbones of the Party and China.
