摘要:
对比跨时代的中国学习者英语语料库调查经过十余年的发展,中学生英语写作在态度立场副词的使用方面有何进步和问题。研究发现,当下中学生英语写作中的态度立场副词在使用的数量和种类上都进步明显,在搭配上更加多样化,在使用位置上更加灵活。但是,两代学生都倾向于过多或过少地使用一些特定种类和个别的词语,使用位置主要集中在后位的趋势依旧。
Abstract:
Attitudinal stance verbs can effectively convey the author’s emotions,evaluations,attitudes and values in English writing.This article compares the ST2 sub-corpus of the Chinese English Learner Corpus (CLEC) and the middle school section of the corpus of Ten-thousand English Compositions of Chinese Learners(TECCL) so as to find out whether there has been any progress or problems in the use of attitudinal stance adverbs.It is found that the current middle school students are using more attitudinal stance verbs of various kinds than ever before,which constitute more diversified collocations and are deployed more flexibly.However,both generations of students tend to over-use or under-use some specific types of adverbs and the inclination to use them at the end of the sentence has persisted.Some teaching advice is proposed at the end of the article.
