清末科技新词的汉译探析——以翻译小说《海底旅行》为例-《集美大学学报》（哲社版）

摘要:: 清末涌现大量科技新词，科幻小说的翻译功不可没。科幻翻译小说《海底旅行》1902年开始在《新小说》连载，向读者推介科学知识。通过运用吉迪恩?图里（Gideon Toury）的规范理论，主要探讨两个问题：清末读者的科学知识水平对《海底旅行》作者翻译科技新词的影响；当时科技词语的写作和翻译规范对这篇翻译小说中科技新词翻译的影响。《海底旅行》中科技新词的翻译，遵循了当时的写作和翻译规范，充分照顾了清末读者的科学知识水平。

Abstract:: The translation of scientific fictions in the end of the Qing Dynasty took the credit for the emergence of a large number of technical neologisms. The Chinese version of the scientific fiction Vingt Milles Lieues sousles Mers was issued on New Novel (journal) in 1902, introducing scientific knowledge to the readers. By applying Gideon Toury’s translation norms, the paper focuses on the influences of the scientific knowledge of the readers in the late Qing Dynasty on the translators’ word choice, as well as the impact of the writing and translation norms of the technical terms on the translation of some technical neologisms in the novel. The translation of the technical neologisms in this fiction adapted to certain writing and translation norms then, and took into consideration the readers’ abilities to understand those terms.
